Planning and Development

When you are planning a new construction project or doing alterations or renovations to your home or property in the County of Brant, it is your responsibility to contact our Planning and Building Divisions.

Upcoming & Ongoing Projects

Site Alteration By-Law

Currently Staff have undertaken a Site Alterations By-Law for the County of Brant. A Site Alterations By-Law helps to regulate how a piece of land can be altered, for example, by filling, grading or excavation. A Public Meeting will be held to gain public input into the proposed By-Law.

 Employment Land Needs Strategy

An Employment Land Strategy (E.L.S.) provides a comprehensive review of employment lands within the municipality and a recommended long-term vision and strategy. Planning Staff have currently undertaken an E.L.S. and are seeking input from the Public through an upcoming Public Open House.

There will be a presentation made during the Public Open House for the E.L.S. which includes a Questionaire. Once completed the Questionaire can be sent in to the Planning Department, marked to the attention of Jennifer Mayhew, Planning Clerk. Staff will collect and review all input recieved.
