Burford Township – Rural Routes and Farms A Plenty!
Start your day in Burford with a walking tour of the village… marveling the unique architectural features of turn-of-the-century homes. Walking tour and other tourism brochures are available at Burford's Tourism Office located at 159 King St. (Sibbick Interiors).

Next stop is shopping in Burford… a visitor is sure to find all the essentials they require! The village boasts a jeweller, several art & crafts outlets, gift shops, antique dealers and auction house.

Time to break for lunch; Burford has a handful of great eateries. Whether looking for traditional Canadiana fare, or pizza… Burford has what you’re looking for!

Spend the afternoon visiting the American Chestnut Tree Museum. Then pop over to Cathcart to visit the Blueberry Patch B&B; owners June and Baxter Ramsey also run a stain glass studio and offer classes.

The Township of Burford is steeped in agricultural history. Spend the remainder of your day meandering the roadside “fresh from the farm” fruit and veggie stands.
Be sure to visit the annual Burford Flea Market. Held every year in September, the flea market brings thousands of visitors to the village!

Glen Morris –A Charming Community "Blooming" with Pride!
Glen Morris welcomes you to the epitome of small town living. Located North of the community of Paris, and South of the City of Cambridge near Highway 24, you will find amenities close at hand while enjoying the natural attractions, charming shops, unique architecture, plenty of history, and calming sounds from the banks of the Grand River.

Catch the Hamilton-Brantford-Cambridge Trail following the river where you can hike, bike or bird watch to your heart's content. For water lovers, launch your canoe, kayak or raft, and spend the day on the water.

Glen Morris has the unique distinction of being a two-time winner of the Communities in Bloom Competition, and is also entered in 2007. Special thanks to the Horticultural Society for their efforts in keeping Glen Morris beautiful.

Onondaga & Middleport – A “Grand” Idea
Onondaga is influenced by its natural borders of the Grand River and Six Nations. A rural community, Onondaga has a variety of rich outdoor activities for every season.

Spend the morning at the Twin Valley Exotic Animal Farm. Located on Langford Church Road. It is here that you will see a variety of indigenous animals (fox, deer, elk) and exotic animals (lions, tigers, monkeys) in a rural setting.

All aboard the Grand River Dinner Cruise! Spend the afternoon aboard the area’s only cruise along the Grand River. The cruise is a wonderful way to see the Grand River. The cruise includes an introductory video, and commentary en route. The luncheon cruise includes a musical quartet performance and the dinner cruise provides visitors with a gourmet roast beef dinner.



Paris – River Splendour, Shopping Delights!
Paris, Brant County’s largest urban centre, is a destination in itself. Paris was voted “the Prettiest Town in Canada” by Harrowsmith Magazine and attracts thousands of visitors annually.

A visitor is certain to enjoy the picturesque town where the Grand and Nith Rivers meet. The rivers enrich the experience by proving tourist the opportunity to dine in an open-air café; hike the in-town rail trails along the Rivers; or rent a canoe for the afternoon and get reacquainted with nature.

For the architectural enthusiast, Paris has 12 cobblestone buildings, which include 2 churches and 10 residences. Marvel at the precision and detail required to build these structures; sometimes using 14,000+ cobblestones.

Paris is the perfect retreat for the outdoor adventure enthusiast! The abundance of rail trails provide visitors with picturesque scenery and wildlife viewing opportunities. The Grand River and Nith River meet in the center of town, providing visitors with unlimited kayak and canoe adventures, both day trips and overnight excursions.

Paris has a variety of specialty shops filled with unique and hard-to-find items. Shoppers may recognize Paris because it is also where Mary Maxim’s Canadian headquarters is located. They have thousands of crafts and hobby ideas! After a long day of shopping, be sure to bring your appetite! Paris has superb fine dining and outdoor cafes open 7 days a week!

St.George – Rare Treats and Antiques!
Spend a leisurely day in St.George. Reminiscent of a small, British village…begin your visit with a trip to the downtown core to search for antiques and one-of-a-kind collectibles.

Lunchtime provides visitors with traditional English fare at the local pub or an authentic tearoom. In addition, there are several other eateries to entice any palate.

End your day by visiting Orchard Home Farm Apple Orchard located just off Highway 24 north. The Adelaide Hunter Hoodless Homestead, birthplace of the co-founder of the Women’s Institute Movement, also makes for a great stop. Or perhaps a trip to the village of Troy (just east of St.George) to visit Donn Zver Pottery.

If you visit the village in the fall, make sure to stop at the award winning Joseph Smith lily garden.

St.George is also home to two established Antique Show and Sales annually. One in April, the other on the Labour Day long weekend.

Scotland & Oakland – Small Town Living!
The communities of Scotland and Oakland are located just off Highway 24 South. Tucked away from the stresses of city life, they are the perfect stop en route to the Lake Erie Shoreline.

For the historical buff, Malcolm Mills in the village of Oakland, was the site of the last battle between American and British troops on Canadian soil in 1814.

Visit Oakland….a shopper’s delight! The Mackenzie Creek Trading Company has fantastic prices on all name brand clothing.

Visit Scotland and picnic at the Optimist Butterfly Park. A park populated by perennials and annuals designed to attract butterflies.

The communities of Norfolk County and Haldimand County border Brant to the South.
