Introduction to Public Works
The Public Works Department is responsible for the overall administration and operation of the municipality's hard services
and includes 4 main service delivery sectors as follows:
- Roads, bridges and associated infrastructure (ie. street lighting, sidewalks, etc.)
- Water supply and distribution
- Wastewater collection and treatment
- Waste management, collection and disposal
The objectives of the department are to provide efficient, effective and customer friendly service, recognizing the municipality's ability to pay,
in accordance with Council policy and legislative requirements.
