Downtown Dig construction season is wrapping up shortly!
Accomplishments this week:- Winter site cleanup continues
- Streetlight posts installed. Coordination for power supply continues
- Hydro work:
- Secondary line to be completed by Friday, November 14, 2025
- Service connection to buildings to be completed this weekend
- Sidewalk on the east side of Grand River Street North - 70% complete
- Planter Boxes (east side) - form continues
- Brick work on the east side is 10% complete
- Brick work on the west side continues

Household Hazardous Waste Day this Saturday, November 15

Household Hazardous Waste Day for County residents will take place this Saturday, November 15 at the Mohawk Street Landfill (20 Morrison Road, Brantford) from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Household hazardous waste includes materials such as paint, solvents, used oils, batteries, and fluorescent light bulbs. These items should not be disposed of in household garbage due to their harmful effects on the environment, humans, and animals.

Major road construction projects often include replacing and upgrading:
- sewers
- watermains
- stormwater systems
- intersection improvements
- fire services
- adding sidewalks, and/or multi use paths
- configuring the road to calm traffic.

East Flats

The County of Brant is planning road reconstruction work in the East Flats neighbourhood in Paris. This multi-year project will take place in 2 phases and will replace aging underground infrastructure and improve local roads.
The work will help ensure safe, reliable water service, improve stormwater management, and extend the life of the road network in this residential area.

The Downtown Dig is starting to take shape in Downtown Paris!
Construction work will be taking place at the intersection of Grand River Street North and William Street to complete important roadway maintenance. Crews will be performing pavement marking operations to trace and re-establish lane lines, crosswalks and other road symbols, as well as carrying out asphalt patch repairs throughout the intersection and adjacent streets.
