Please be advised of an update regarding the West River Street Reconstruction taking place. Gas line construction will be taking place from January to March 31, 2025. Full details are listed below:
Location: West River Street between Broadway Street West and Mechanic Street
Work Dates: January – March 31, 2025
Work Performed by: Enbridge Gas
Reason: Enbridge Gas line construction

Garbage & Recycling Collection Delay Notice - January 16

It is anticipated Garbage and Recycling in some areas of today’s collection will not get picked up by 5:00 pm today. Collection Crews are working diligently and are hopeful to complete collection today.
If your material has not been picked up by 8:00 pm tonight, please either leave your materials curbside overnight, or remove and place it back at curbside by 7:00 am tomorrow morning, and it will be collected by the end of day.
We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
2025 Floor Requests Are Now Open

The County of Brant is now accepting requests for indoor floor use for Spring/Summer 2025. The floor is available at the Burford Community Centre and the Gaukel Memorial Community Centre from April 7 to August 24, 2025.
The rates for 2025 are as follows:
- Youth: $68.50/hr
- Adult: $83.50/hr
- Full Floor Event: $999.50
- Half Floor Event: $763.75
- Hourly rate set up and tear down: $60.50/hr

The County of Brant is excited to share plans for the new Arlington Meadows Subdivision Park and Splash Pad in Paris, a space designed for fun, community connection, and nature exploration. We need your input to bring this project to life!
In June 2023, we gathered community feedback for the initial design concepts through a Parks and Recreation survey which helped shape this large 5 acre park into two unique themes, Orchard and Woods & Wildlife.

Stormwater Pond Safety Reminder

County of Brant Fire would like to remind residents of the dangers that surround bodies of water during the colder months, including stormwater management ponds. Stormwater ponds are designed to manage water runoff, they are not for recreation.
- Stay out of the water—these ponds can have steep slopes and unpredictable water levels.
- Supervise children and pets around ponds to prevent accidents. Also talk to your children about the dangers of stormwater ponds.
- Conditions around these ponds can change...
