The County of Brant intends to pass a Fees and Charges By-law which includes fees for Water, Wastewater, Solid Waste, Police, and Fire. The fees will be effective as of January 1, 2026, unless otherwise noted in the By-law. In accordance with the Municipal Act, 2001, Ontario Regulation 244/02, a statutory public meeting has been scheduled as follows:

We’re so close! As the fall weather ramps up and the construction window closes, the Downtown Dig continues.
What happened this week:
- Sidewalk from Cobblestone Commons to Nith River Bridge (on both the east and west side) is complete
- East side curb completed
- Brick adjacent to Cenotaph has been placed
- Hydro secondary line north of midblock is ongoing
- Hydro service connections to the buildings are 57% complete

The County of Brant officially celebrated the grand reopening of the Sunny Hill Park playground in St. George yesterday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and cheque presentations. The event featured remarks from Mayor David Bailey, along with representatives from the St. George Lions Club and Kal Tire.
