2025 Road Construction Projects in Paris

The Downtown Dig is underway, with the bulk of construction scheduled between April and October. In addition to this major project, 2025 will bring several key road improvements to Paris, enhancing safety, traffic flow, and infrastructure.

Garbage & Recycling Collection Delay Notice - February 20, 2025

It is anticipated Garbage and Recycling in some areas of today’s collection will not get picked up by 5:00 pm today. Collection Crews are working diligently and are hopeful to complete collection today.
If your material has not been picked up by 8:00 pm tonight, please either leave your materials curbside overnight, or remove and place it back at curbside by 7:00 am tomorrow morning, and it will be collected by the end of day.
We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

Snow Removal in Core Areas

With the significant snowfall over the past week, County roads staff will begin removing snow in our downtown core areas this week.
Work is weather dependent and will begin in the morning on:
- Paris – Wednesday, February 19 & Thursday, February 20 (Friday if needed)
- St. George – Thursday, February 20
- Burford – Thursday, February 20
Crews will be clearing snowbanks from the road allowance. Traffic will be flagged as needed—please drive with caution in work zones.

Due to the Winter Storm Warning that is in effect and to prioritize the safety of drivers and riders, Brant Transit is cancelling all rides for Sunday, February 16, 2025.
Riders are be notified of cancellations through their preferred communication method.
Additionally, please note that Brant Transit does not operate on Family Day, Monday, February 17.

Environment Canada has issued a Winter Storm Warning for this weekend, with snowfall accumulations of 20 to 30 cm expected from this morning through Sunday evening.
With blowing snow and reduced visibility in the forecast, we urge residents to avoid nonessential travel whenever possible. If you must go out, plan ahead and drive according to changing weather conditions.
