With the winter storm here, the County of Brant reminds motorists to stay a safe distance back from snow plows when you see blue flashing lights.
“Snow plows, salt and sand trucks must travel slower than regular traffic,” said Greg Demers, Director of Roads at the County of Brant. “Sight lines and visibility near a working snow plow are significantly reduced by blowing snow. Please be patient.”

Do you know what these sign means?
This sign means you cannot park in the area between the signs. You may not stop your vehicle except to load or unload passengers or merchandise. These signs are used in pairs or groups to indicate when parking is not allowed on one side of the street.
Please note, these signs only indicate parking restrictions for the side of the street on which they are installed on.

The County of Brant Fire Department would like to remind residents of the dangers that surround bodies of water during the winter months, including stormwater management ponds.

Barkers Bush Trail Access

With construction beginning at the Nith Peninsula Residential Subdivision, we would like to notify residents that signage will be posted in the near future to help trail users safely access the trails around Barkers Bush in Paris.
The developer, Losani Homes, will be installing fencing around the construction area for public safety. The construction area’s main entrance will be off Dundas Street West, Paris. Trail access will be maintained and please follow the posted signs.
