2025 Holiday Garbage and Blue Box Collection Schedule

Both Christmas and New Year’s Day fall on regular collection days this year, which means curbside garbage and recycling will be picked up one day later than usual.

Revised Collection Days (Regular Collection Day → Holiday Collection Day):

• Thursday, December 25 → Friday, December 26
• Friday, December 26 → Saturday, December 27
• Thursday, January 1 → Friday, January 2
• Friday, January 2 → Saturday, January 3

Syl Apps Community Centre Turf Update

At its meeting on December 2, 2025, the County of Brant Council passed By-law 121-25 authorizing a by-election to fill the vacant Ward 5 Council seat. In accordance with the by-law, the following key dates have been established:

Garbage and Recycling Collection Delay on December 3, 2025

Please note that some areas scheduled for garbage and recycling pickup today, December 3, 2025, will not be completed by 5:00 pm. Our collection crews are working diligently and hope to finish by this evening.

If your materials have not been collected by 8:00 pm, you may either:

1. Leave them curbside overnight, or
2. Bring them in and place them back at the curb by 7:00 am tomorrow for pickup by end of day.

Help us clear the streets faster, Brant! During a snow event, please remember:

• Keep Roads Clear: Parked cars are a snowplow's biggest challenge. Please avoid parking on the street if possible, especially on streets that haven't been plowed yet.
• Shovel Sidewalks: Property owners and occupants must clear their sidewalks within 24 hours after snow accumulation ends. This helps keep our community safe for pedestrians.
