The Downtown Dig in downtown Paris began earlier this year with work by Enbridge Gas, which is expected to take approximately 60 days to complete (weather permitting). The next phase of construction is set to begin in early April, impacting access to Grand River Street North.
We invite businesses and residents to a drop-in open house to learn more about the project, including the construction phases, detour routes, and ways to stay informed.

Please be advised the County of Brant will be conducting routine maintenance work on the Sanitary Sewer System from Wednesday, March 19 to Friday, March 21 in Brant in the following areas:

The 2025 dog park key will be in effect April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026. To renew and obtain a 2025 Simply Grand Dog Park Membership:
- Visit COBConnect and click the sign in/up button.

- Burford Lions Art Cadman Park
- Eric Thomlinson Access Point (Glen Morris)
- Penman's Dam Access Point (Paris)
We remind the public to exercise caution around all waterways. Banks adjacent to rivers and creeks are especially slippery and, combined with current weather conditions, pose a serious hazard.

The Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) is updating and issuing a Flood Warning for the County of Brant, as well as Drayton, Grand Valley, Waldemar, West Montrose, the Village of Conestogo, New Hamburg, Ayr, Brantford and Six Nations.

The Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) is issuing a Flood Watch message for the entire Grand River watershed.
Weather forecastTemperatures in the watershed are predicted to reach double digits above freezing starting Friday March 14, 2025, and remain above zero over the weekend. A Colorado low system is forecast to move across the watershed on Saturday and Sunday, bringing approximately 25 to 30 mm of rain. 2025 Household Hazardous Waste Days

The County of Brant and the City of Brantford have partnered to offer additional Household Hazardous Waste days for County of Brant residents! This partnership will replace the previous one-day annual event held in the County.
Household Hazardous Waste days will now take place at the Mohawk Street Landfill, located at 20 Morrison Road, Brantford, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (ID may be requested to confirm residency in Brant or Brantford).
