The 2025 Winter Community Services Guide is now available!

The County of Brant is excited to share that the new 2025 Winter Community Services Guide is now available!

The new Guide is available online on our Community Services Guide webpage. Printed copies can be picked up at any County of Brant office, community centre, library, or from one of our community partners. For a full list of pickup locations, please visit our Community Services Guide webpage.

The new guide highlights drop-in and registered winter recreation programs for all ages, including:

The County of Brant is proud to announce the release of its new Strategic Plan, a comprehensive roadmap to guide decision-making and community development over the next four years. Storm Sewer Maintenance - December 18, 2024

Please be advised the County of Brant will be conducting routine inspection and maintenance work on the Storm Sewer System in Cainsville in the following areas:

• Ewart Avenue
• Prince Charles Road
• Shaver Street

The work is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, between the hours of 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Garbage & Recycling Collection Delay Notice - December 16

It is anticipated Garbage and Recycling in some areas of today’s collection will not get picked up by 5:00 pm today. Collection Crews are working diligently and are hopeful to complete collection today.

If your material has not been picked up by 8:00 pm tonight, please either leave your materials curbside overnight, or remove and place it back at curbside by 7:00 am tomorrow morning, and it will be collected by the end of day.

County of Brant Blue Box Program Transitioning to Circular Materials in 2025

The Blue Box Recycling program in the County of Brant will be transitioning to be operated by Circular Materials, a not-for-profit organization managing Ontario's extended producer responsibility (EPR) system. This change, effective January 1, 2025, aligns with Ontario's Blue Box Regulation (O. Reg. 391/21) to make producers responsible for recycling the materials they create.
