Winter Driving - Plan for the Worst, Hope for the Best
Posted on Thursday, February 05, 2026 06:00 PM
Is it essential travel, or can it wait? During a winter storm, you may want to stay home if travel isn't absolutely necessary. If you must go out, planning is everything. Check the forecast, leave early, and expect delays.
Remember: Even if the weather seems fine when you start, conditions can change rapidly. Plan your route using the Ontario 511 website and share your travel plans with a friend or family member.
