It is anticipated Garbage and Recycling in some areas of today’s collection will not get picked up today. 

If your material has not been picked up by 8:00 pm tonight, please either leave your materials curbside overnight, or remove and place it back at curbside by 7:00 am tomorrow morning, and it will be collected by the end of day.

Due to wet field conditions the following County of Brant ball diamonds are cancelled for Wednesday, July 17:⁠

• Burford Community Centre Diamond A⁠
• Mt. Pleasant Ball Diamond⁠
• Harrisburg Ball Diamond⁠
• Paris Optimist Park Ball Diamond

The following soccer field is also cancelled:⁠

• Mile Hill Soccer Field⁠

Public Notice - Paris Community Pool and Splash Pad

Paris Community Pool and Splash Pad Update - July 17, 2024

We are happy to share that the Paris Community Pool will reopen this afternoon for registered Swimming Lessons from 4:00 - 7:00 pm and Lane/Public Swim from 7:00 - 8:30 pm.

The Paris Splash Pad will reopen on Thursday, July 18.

We would like to thank residents for their patience, as well as the Parks and Recreation Team for cleaning up following yesterday's rain.

The Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) has shared the following Watershed Conditions Statement – Flood Outlook:

Heavy rainfall across the Grand River watershed on Tuesday morning, combined with the rainfall from last week, has resulted in very saturated soil conditions, making the watershed very reactive to further rain. Please be advised that river entry at Bean Park will be closed to the public for the duration of filming on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. Please note that river access is available at Penman’s Dam, 116 Willow Street, Paris.

Those exiting the river at Bean Park may expect delays, as the access point will be closed periodically for filming.
