Music in the Parks is cancelled for July 16, 2024
Due to the severe weather expected this evening, including extreme heat, tonight's Music in the Parks performance has been cancelled.

Public Notice Reminder: Bean Park River Access

Please be advised that river entry at Bean Park will be closed to the public for the duration of filming on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. Please note that river access is available at Penman’s Dam, 116 Willow Street, Paris.
Those exiting the river at Bean Park may expect delays, as the access point will be closed periodically for filming.

- Paris Optimist Park

- Two Rivers Stadium (Syl Apps Community Centre)

Garbage & Recycling Collection Delay Notice - Monday, July 15, 2024

It is anticipated Garbage and Recycling in some areas of today’s collection will not get picked up by 5:00 pm today. Collection Crews are working diligently and are hopeful to complete collection today.
If your material has not been picked up by 8:00 pm tonight, please either leave your materials curbside overnight, or remove and place it back at curbside by 7:00 am tomorrow morning, and it will be collected by the end of day.

Grand River Conservation Authority issues Watershed Conditions Statement - Water Safety

The Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) has shared the following Watershed Conditions Statement – Water Safety:
Heavy rain fell across the Grand River watershed last week creating saturated soil conditions, making the watershed very reactive to further rain. Rain and thunderstorms are expected between July 15 and 16, with a total accumulation of approximately 40 mm expected by Wednesday, July 17. Update - Hillside Avenue and Race Street Sanitary Sewer Replacement

Please be advised of the most recent update regarding the reconstruction of Hillside Avenue and Race Street:
- Surface asphalt has been placed and all sod has been placed throughout the project area.
- Remaining works include final rolling and continued watering of sod and restoration of interlocking stone walks and driveways.
- Remaining asphalt driveways are being completed by private property owners in partnership with the County.

Storm Sewer Maintenance July 15-26

Please be advised that from July 15 to 26, the County of Brant will be conducting routine inspection and maintenance work on the Storm Sewer System in the following areas:
- Paris (various streets)
- St. George (various streets)
The work is scheduled to take place during the day on between the hours of 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
