Please be advised that the following drop-in programs at Syl Apps Community Centre are cancelled on Wednesday, November 26 due to scheduled building maintenance.
Walking on the Turf 8:00 am to 9:00 am
Kinderplay 10:00 am to 11:30 am
RC Flyers 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm

Dundas Street East and Green Lane in Paris have reopened

We are pleased to share that Dundas Street East and Green Lane in Paris have re-opened.
The attenuator (a safety device designed to reduce the damage to structures, vehicles, and motorists resulting from a motor vehicle collision) will be installed at the CN Rail bridge delineator in the near future. Until then, the road under the CN Rail Bridge will be narrowed to a wide single lane in each direction.

Construction Notice – Dawdy Park

Starting today, Monday, November 24, Dawdy Park (80 Hartley Ave., Paris) will be undergoing construction to install a brand-new swing set, featuring two belt swings and an accessible swing.
The rest of the park will remain open to the public during this time. Updates will be shared as they become available.

Dundas Street East construction continues!
What has been accomplished since November 7, 2025:
- Watermain commissioning and final connections completed
- Temporary storm sewer on Green Lane completed
- Temporary road asphalt completed
What’s happening next:
- Asphalt curb, asphalt sidewalk, and asphalt driveway aprons (these are temporary and will be finalized in 2026)

New 4-H Club Inspires the Next Generation of First Responders in the County of Brant

A group of recently retired volunteer firefighters in the County of Brant are continuing their commitment to public service in a new way - by inspiring the next generation of first responders!

We made it! The last week of the Downtown Dig for 2025!
Accomplishments for the final week:
- Winter site cleanup
- Streetlights power supply
- Hydro work:
- Secondary line – 100% complete
- Service connections to businesses - 100% complete
- Asphalt hard surfacing work
- Road markings - 100% complete
- Sidewalk, planter box, and brick work progress. Remaining areas to complete will be temporarily patched with asphalt

Friendly reminder that Urban Area Yard Waste Collection is next week, November 24-28!
Curbside yard waste collection is offered to residential properties within urban areas in the County of Brant. Materials are to be set out by 7:00 am on your regular collection day in paper bags/open top rigid containers and bundles of limbs/ branches under 7.5 cm (3 in.) in diameter (max. bundles size 2 ft x 4 ft.).
