The County of Brant is proud to announce its support for the Special Olympics Ontario 2025 Provincial Summer Games, which will take place from July 10 to July 13, 2025, in both the County of Brant and City of Brantford. Hosted by the Brantford Police Service, OPP and Six Nations Police Service, the event will welcome athletes from across the province to compete and celebrate the spirit of inclusion and achievement.

Starting the week of December 9, the County of Brant will begin upgrading existing streetlights in the Wingrove Woods and Wallace Court subdivisions (weather permitting). These upgrades will significantly enhance safety, energy efficiency, and the overall appearance of these areas.

Garbage & Recycling Collection Delay Notice - December 5

It is anticipated Garbage and Recycling in some areas of today’s collection will not get picked up by 5:00 pm today. Collection Crews are working diligently and are hopeful to complete collection today.
If your material has not been picked up by 8:00 pm tonight, please either leave your materials curbside overnight, or remove and place it back at curbside by 7:00 am tomorrow morning, and it will be collected by the end of day.
We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

Holiday Garbage and Blue Box Collection Schedule

Friendly holiday reminder that because the Christmas and New Year’s holidays fall on a regular collection day this year, garbage and recycling collection will be completed one day later. For example, if your regular collection day is Wednesday, December 25, your garbage will be collected on Thursday, December 26.

The County of Brant is currently accepting 2025 Spring/Summer ice requests! For information on dates, insurance requirements, fees and more, please visit our Ice page.
If you require ice time between March 31, 2025 to September 14, 2025, which includes any pre fall/winter season and tryout ice times from mid-August to September 14, please ensure your request is submitted by the deadline.
