Temporary Stop Signs being installed at Keg Lane and Brant-Oxford Road

Please be advised that temporary stop signs will be installed at the intersection of Keg Lane and Brant-Oxford Road on Thursday, July 10, 2025.
This change will create a temporary three-way stop to address increasing traffic delays and improve safety at the intersection. The new configuration is intended to reduce the risk of unsafe driving behaviours, such as risky turning maneuvers.
The temporary stop signs will:
- Allow westbound traffic on Keg Lane to turn more safely onto Brant-Oxford Road.

Work Dates: Thursday, July 10 to Friday, July 11, 2025
Work Performed by: GIP Paving for County of Brant
Reason: Asphalt overlay on existing surface
Notes:
- Reduced to one lane during working hours
- Open to two lanes overnight and on weekends during road paving operations
- Traffic will be controlled by traffic control person

Cancellation of extended heat warning for Brant issued July 5, 2025

The medical officer of health for Grand Erie Public Health has cancelled the heat warning issued for the Grand Erie Public Health region (Brantford-Brant and Haldimand-Norfolk). Extreme heat conditions are no longer in effect, as temperatures have cooled below advisory levels forecasted by Environment and Climate Change Canada.
