Grand River Street North Update - March 4, 2024

The intersection of Grand River Street North and Hartley Ave. has been reopened to traffic.
Grand River Street North, south of Hartley Ave. to Scott Ave. will remain closed until April 5, 2024 pending weather conditions and the availability of asphalt for restoration.
Scott Ave East of Grand River Street North will also be closed for one week commencing today, March 4, 2024 for sanitary sewer installation.

Reconstruction of Church Street West in Scotland is planned for the 2024 construction season. The work will include road reconstruction, new storm sewers, new curbs and sidewalks. Access to properties and the Oakland-Scotland school will be maintained for local traffic and emergency services.

The County of Brant Public Library and County of Brant are excited to announce they are giving away free solar eclipse glasses in preparation for the upcoming Total Solar Eclipse on Monday, April 8, 2024.

Garbage and Recycling Collection on February 27, 2024

It is anticipated Garbage and Recycling in some areas of today’s collection will not get picked up by 5:00 pm today. Collection Crews are working diligently and are hopeful to complete collection tonight.
If your material has not been picked up by 8:00 pm tonight, please either leave your materials curbside overnight, or remove and place it back at curbside by 7:00 am tomorrow morning, and it will be collected by the end of day.
