The County of Brant is currently accepting requests for the 2024-2025 Fall/Winter Indoor Turf Season (October 15, 2024 to April 30, 2025). All requests will be considered and turf will be allocated in accordance with the County of Brant, Sport Facility Allocation Policy after the August 15th deadline.

Reconstruction of Dundas Street East in Paris is planned for the 2024 construction season and finish in 2025. The work will include road reconstruction, watermain, sanitary sewer and storm sewer, as well as new curbs and sidewalks. Access to properties, businesses, and emergency services will be maintained during construction.

Mt. Pleasant Outdoor Water Use Changed to Yellow

Please be advised that the Mount Pleasant Drinking Water System has moved to yellow for Outdoor Water Use. The water supply system is under stress. The amount of water used from the system is approaching supply capacity. To avoid the movement to Red, stringent conservation measures apply.

Garbage & Recycling Collection Delay Notice - Thursday, June 20, 2024

It is anticipated Garbage and Recycling in some areas of today’s collection will not get picked up by 5:00 pm today. Collection Crews are working diligently and are hopeful to complete collection today.
If your material has not been picked up by 8:00 pm tonight, please either leave your materials curbside overnight, or remove and place it back at curbside by 7:00 am tomorrow morning, and it will be collected by the end of day.

Please be advised that beginning Friday, June 21, 2024 through to Wednesday, June 26, 2024, filming activity will take place on Glen Morris Road East. The scenes will be filmed for an upcoming HBO TV Series by Stephen King involving a group of kids on bikes as they explore a nearby tunnel.

Beginning Friday, June 21, 2024, filming activity will begin on the Glen Morris Road and will include Intermittent Traffic Control. Full filming activity details below:

The County of Brant currently owns a parcel of land commonly identified as untraveled right of way, which runs perpendicular to Alexander Avenue, between Jane Street and St. Andrew Street, in the Town of Paris.
The County is proposing to declare the land as surplus for direct sale to abutting property owners in the near future.
