Environment Canada has issued a Winter Weather Travel Advisory for today, March 22, in the County of Brant.
Light snow is expected to begin this morning, but should intensify late in the afternoon or evening with total accumulations of 5-10 cm. The snow will taper off late tonight.
Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly. Poor weather conditions may contribute to transportation delays. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road...

County of Brant announces first major donation for new Community Centre

The County of Brant is thrilled to announce that the first major donation has been received for the new community centre being constructed at 169 Grand River Street North in Paris. Donald and Jo-Anne Wilkin, through the Donald and Jo-Anne Wilkin Fund at the Brant Community Foundation have donated $150,000 to the fundraising campaign.

Are you a local musician looking for opportunities to share your craft? The County of Brant invites you to apply to perform at our Music in the Parks outdoor concert series!
- All performances will take place on Tuesdays in July and August from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
- Please apply by Monday, April 8, 2024 at 9:00 am
Requirements:
- Local (or close proximity) musician/band (preference will be given to local musicians)
- Any music style
- Bring your PA
- Certificate of Insurance
What we offer:

Meadow and Tree Maintenance at Watt's Pond

Please note the County of Brant is conducting routine meadow maintenance for meadow habitat preservation at 816 Watt’s Pond (Hartley Ave).
General tree clean up and maintenance will also occur in the coming weeks to address hazardous trees and invasive species along Watts Pond.
Natural meadows are an important feature of our biodiversity and natural heritage, offering urban habitat for rare bird species as well as many pollinating insects that need meadows and open grassland to thrive.

- Market Street will be temporarily closed at Wellington Street
- No access to Market Street from Wellington Street, no through traffic

Paris Roads Winter Cleanup

The Paris Roads Department will begin winter cleanup later this week with curbside and sidewalk sweeping.
Residents are reminded to obey parking signs and avoid parking overnight in areas that are posted no parking from 4:00 am to 7:00 am.
Bylaw enforcement will be proactively enforcing these areas over the next week to allow road crews to properly access the area for winter cleanup.
