Barker’s Bush Trail Closure - Nith Peninsula Sub-Division Servicing Construction

With construction continuing at the Nith Peninsula Residential Subdivision, we would like to notify residents that signage will be posted in the near future to help trail users safely access the trails around Barker’s Bush in Paris during required tree removals and servicing installation.

Physical barriers and signage will be erected and maintained throughout the duration of construction.

The County of Brant will be conducting routine maintenance work on the Sanitary Sewer System in the following areas overnight:

  • Dumfries Street from Church Street to Grand River Street South
  • Grand River Street (N&S) from Dumfries Street to William Street
  • William Street from Broadway Street West to Willow Street
  • Mechanic Street from Broadway Street West to Grand River Street North

Snow is on the way in the County of Brant! Here's some friendly reminders to keep our community safe: 

  • Please remove parked cars from the street. Parked cars are the snowplow's biggest obstacle.
  • Please check road conditions before leaving your home during snowfall.
  • If you are out, please give snowplows space to do their job well.

Once the snow is done and it's safe to do so, please remember the following when clearing snow:

  • It is illegal to deposit snow from your property and sidewalk onto the road.

With more snow on the way early tomorrow morning, the Road Crews would like to remind everyone to remove their parked vehicles from the street.

Parked cars are the snowplow's biggest obstacle. Please check road conditions before leaving and give snowplows space to do their job well.

The County of Brant is seeking two (2) Fence Viewers and one (1) individual to act as Livestock Valuer. 

Fence Viewers

Persons interested in being a fence viewer should have a broad knowledge of the County of Brant area and be prepared to respond to requests for inspections as required by the municipality, usually within one week of being notified. Fence viewers should preferably have a working knowledge of the Line Fences Act and a farming/agricultural or construction background.
