The Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) is terminating the Flood Warning message previously in effect for Brant. A Watershed Conditions Statement – Water Safety is being issued for the entire Grand River watershed due to the continued higher river levels and unsafe conditions near local waterways.

Please be advised the County of Brant will be conducting routine maintenance work on the Sanitary Sewer System from Wednesday, March 19 to Friday, March 21 in Brant in the following areas:

  • Bean Park (Paris)
  • Burford Lions Art Cadman Park
  • Eric Thomlinson Access Point (Glen Morris)
  • Penman's Dam Access Point (Paris)

We remind the public to exercise caution around all waterways. Banks adjacent to rivers and creeks are especially slippery and, combined with current weather conditions, pose a serious hazard.

The Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) is updating and issuing a Flood Warning for the County of Brant, as well as Drayton, Grand Valley, Waldemar, West Montrose, the Village of Conestogo, New Hamburg, Ayr, Brantford and Six Nations.

The Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) is issuing a Flood Watch message for the entire Grand River watershed.

Temperatures in the watershed are predicted to reach double digits above freezing starting Friday March 14, 2025, and remain above zero over the weekend.
