Customer Service expands to the Burford and Paris Public Library branches

The County of Brant is pleased to expand Customer Service in the Burford and Paris County of Brant Public Libraries.
The following County of Brant services will now be available at the branches:
- Tax payments
- Dog tags and licensing
- Photocopies and faxes
- Accounts Receivable invoice payment
- Freedom of Information initial requests
- Brant Transit punch cards purchase and pick up
- Brant County Health Unit Well Watering Testing Kits – available for pick up only

The County of Brant is pleased to announce the appointment of two new General Managers. Cindy Stevenson has been appointed General Manager of Emergency and Protective Services and Melissa Connor has been appointed General Manager of Strategic Initiatives.

Nith Peninsula Residential Subdivision Construction Update

With construction continuing at the Nith Peninsula Residential Subdivision, we would like to provide a brief update on the pre-servicing and trail construction.
Construction:
On July 27, 2022, construction began for the Nith Peninsula Residential Subdivision. The servicing works are nearing completion with the installation of the remainder of the curbs and base asphalt to occur this summer.

Paris, ON — The Ontario government is providing $340,000 to help create 15 affordable housing units in Paris in the County of Brant to support people with accessibility needs, as well as individuals and families who have experienced domestic violence, and people of Indigenous ancestry.

Construction on Grand River Street North in Paris will begin this month. Works include the replacement of watermain and sanitary sewers from 100 metres south of Trillium Way to Hartley Avenue. This is the first phase of a multi-year project for upgrades to Grand River Street North as recommended through the Grand River Street North Corridor Environmental Study Report and the Paris Master Servicing Plan.
