Automated Speed Enforcement Coming into Effect in the County of Brant

Through the County of Brant’s Automated Speed Enforcement (ASE) program, fines will begin to be issued at the first location, on Silver Street in Paris, beginning Monday, February 3, 2025. Signs will be posted advising motorists when they are entering a Community Safety Zone with an ASE system in operation.

Over the last few weeks, County of Brant homeowners that are connected to County of Brant municipal water and/or sewer systems have received a mailing from Service Line Warranties of Canada about homeowners’ responsibility to maintain the service lines connecting their home to County utilities. This mailing includes information about an exterior water or sewer service line repair plan that can help shield residents from the financial shock of an unexpected repair.

It is anticipated Garbage and Recycling in some areas of today’s collection will not get picked up by 5:00 pm today. Collection Crews are working diligently and are hopeful to complete collection today.
If your material has not been picked up by 8:00 pm tonight, please either leave your materials curbside overnight, or remove and place it back at curbside by 7:00 am tomorrow morning, and it will be collected by the end of day.

New Signalized Intersection at King Edward Street and Dundas Street West in Paris

A new signalized intersection has been installed at King Edward Street and Dundas Street West in Paris. Testing of the traffic lights will be taking place this week, with full activation to follow shortly thereafter. A crossing guard will remain at this location until the end of the school year, following this the position will be evaluated.
