2025 Household Hazardous Waste Days

The County of Brant and the City of Brantford have partnered to offer additional Household Hazardous Waste days for County of Brant residents! This partnership will replace the previous one-day annual event held in the County.

Household Hazardous Waste days will now take place at the Mohawk Street Landfill, located at 20 Morrison Road, Brantford, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (ID may be requested to confirm residency in Brant or Brantford).

2025 Household Hazardous Waste Days:
  • April 12
  • May 3
  • June 14
  • July 12

Mark your calendars! The County of Brant Spring/Summer Community Services Guide is coming March 27! Registration for Summer programs opens on Monday, April 7 at 6:00 pm.

The Spring/Summer Guide includes important information like:

  • Registered fitness and recreation programs for all ages
  • Outdoor Tennis and Pickleball Courts
  • Playgrounds, Skate Parks and Trails
  • Music in the Parks, Community Tree Planting, and other special event information

Grand River Conservation Authority cancels Flood Watch

The Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) is terminating the Flood Watch message previously in effect and is issuing a Watershed Conditions Statement – Water Safety message for the entire Grand River Watershed.

Sanitary Sewer Maintenance in Paris: March 12-14

Please be advised the County of Brant will be conducting routine maintenance work on the Sanitary Sewer System in Paris the following areas:

  • Cardinal Lane
  • Cobblestone Drive
  • Crawford Place
  • Grandville Circle                       
  • Irongate Drive
  • Marriott Place
  • McQueen Drive
  • Row Lane

The work is scheduled to take place from Wednesday, March 12 to Friday, March 14, between the hours of 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) has issued the following Flood Message #2: Flood Watch

The Grand River Conservation Authority is extending the Flood Watch for the entire watershed that was issued on March 3, 2025, due an increased risk of ice jam formation following snowmelt and runoff from recent rain events.

Call for Musicians for 2025 Music in the Parks

Are you a talented local musician or band looking for an opportunity to showcase your sound? Music in the Parks is returning to the County of Brant this summer, and we're looking for performers to bring live music to our beautiful outdoor spaces!

Performances will take place on Tuesdays in July and August from 7:30 - 9:00 pm, with the addition of two SURPRISE Friday performances to be announced.
