Friendly Reminder to Clear Catch Basins Before Incoming Snow and Rain

With rain and snow in the forecast for the County of Brant, we need your help to keep our community safe and dry. ❄️

Did you know that there are approximately 3800 catch basins in the County? Catch basins (the grates on the road that drain rainwater and melted snow) can easily become blocked by ice, slush, and debris. When these drains are covered, water has nowhere to go, leading to ponding on our roads and potential flooding on private property.
