Notice Regarding Waste Collection - Thursday, April 25, 2024

It is anticipated Garbage and Recycling in some areas of today’s collection will not get picked up by 5:00 pm today. Collection Crews are working diligently and are hopeful to complete collection today.

If your material has not been picked up by 8:00 pm tonight, please either leave your materials curbside overnight, or remove and place it back at curbside by 7:00 am tomorrow morning, and it will be collected by the end of day.

We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

The 2024 County of Brant Aquatics Guide is now available!  

The County of Brant is excited to welcome swimmers back for the 2024 season! The Paris Community Pool offers a variety of programs including drop-in swims, swimming lessons, special events and more.

2024 Swimming Lesson Registration Dates:

  • Pre-season: May 14, 2024
  • Session 1: June 11, 2024
  • Session 2: July 9, 2024
  • Session 3: July 23, 2024
  • Session 4: August 6, 2024

Beginning on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at 8:00 am until 12:30 pm there will be Intermittent Traffic Stoppages conducted by Brant OPP for the Paris to Ancaster Bicycle Race.

Taxes due April 30

Taxes due on Tuesday, April 30, 2024

A friendly reminder that your taxes are due on Tuesday April 30, 2024. 

The first due date was on February 29, 2024, and the second interim payment is due on April 30, 2024.  If you have not received a tax bill, please contact the Tax Division.

There are a number of ways you can pay your taxes.

The County of Brant is excited to announce that its Arts, Culture and Heritage Strategy has received unanimous approval following the Tuesday, March 26, 2024 Council meeting.

Beginning Monday, April 22, 2024, the County of Brant will be conducting routine maintenance work on the Sanitary Sewer Systems in the following areas:

Paris

  • Amelia Street
  • Ann Street
  • Ball Street
  • Charles Street
  • Patterson Street
  • Race Street
  • Spencer Street
  • Washington Street
  • Hillside Avenue
  • Old Mill Street
  • Gilston Parkway

2024 Spring Watermain Maintenance - Paris and St. George

Routine system maintenance, including flushing, will occur in Paris and St. George. The dates for flushing are shown below:

Paris: April 22 to June 3, 2024

St. George: April 22 to May 31, 2024

During the flushing process, there should be no interruptions to water service. Common and temporary effects of the flushing process could include a slight drop in water pressure and/or cloudy-discoloured water.

The County of Brant is proud to announce its achievement of ISO 37120 Platinum Certification for the fifth consecutive year, a recognition awarded by the World Council on City Data (WCCD).
