Dog Park

The Simply Grand Dog Park is located at the Green Lane Sports Complex, 8 Green Lane, Paris.

To attend the Simply Grand Dog park you must have a Dog License and an active Dog Park Membership. 

This members-only park features a small dog area and a large dog area within the 2-acre fenced park.

  • To purchase or renew your dog licence, visit the dog licencing webpage
  • Keys will be mailed out once payment is processed and required documents are received (this can take up to 2 weeks)
  • Locks are changed on April 1st annually and memberships will need to be renewed each year to receive a new key

The County of Brant assumes no responsibility for any injuries or damage that might occur during the use of this area. Use the dog park at your own risk. Please take extra caution since this is a natural park with trees, branches, rocks and uneven terrain.

General information 

  • All dogs must have a current dog license
  • All dogs must be vaccinated against rabies and DA2PCPV (distemper / hepatitis / parainfluenza / pavovirus)
  • Dogs with communicable diseases or illnesses should not attend the dog park
  • The gate must be unlocked and locked by each member
  • Periodic checks will be conducted to ensure members only are using the dog park. Please ensure your key tag and/or membership card are available
  • Unleash your dog between the two gates. Use of the off-leash dog park is only permitted during daylight hours, sunrise to sunset
  • Owners must clean up after their dog. Place waste in large waste receptacle near the entrance
  • Dogs must wear collars at all times inside of the park. For the safety of your dog(s) and other park visitors, training collars such as choke, prong (pinch), chain and spike collars are strictly prohibited. If you use these types of collars, remove them before entering the park
  • Aggressive dogs are not permitted on the premises
  • Dogs must be removed at the first sign of aggression 
  • Female dogs in heat are prohibited from entering the park
  • Dogs under 6 months of age are not permitted in the park
  • Dog owners must be in the park and within view of their dogs at all times
  • Food (human and canine) is not permitted within the off-leash area 
  • Glass containers are not permitted within the dog park
  • Leave your toys at home. Regardless of your dog's reaction to toys, other dogs may have issues with guarding behavior which can cause conflict
  • The dog park is intended to remain as a natural area and will have minimal grass cutting throughout the summer season
  • Washrooms and water are available at the pavilion (seasonal)

Small dog area

All dogs measuring 15 inches and under at the wither (base of the neck) or up to 30 lbs, can play in the small dog area. Small dogs are still welcome in the large dog area, but please no large dogs in the small dog area. 

Violations

Any violation of the dog park protocols may result in denial of access or revocation of your membership. For customer service related to the dog park or to report any facility problems, contact the County of Brant.
