Truth and Reconciliation Day
The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is on September 30, 2023. All Culture Days events on this day are presented by Indigenous creators or community members, or have an established partnership with Indigenous creators or community members. The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is a day to reflect and learn about the history and harms of the past with emphasis on honoring the lost children, impacted families and survivors of residential schools. For this reason, all events and programs on September 30 must be organized to share First Nations, Métis, and/or Inuit experiences, creative expressions, culture and perspectives.
