ICI Building Permits
ICI builds are non-residential and include Industrial buildings, Commercial buildings and Institutional buildings. If you are planning to add a sign to any type of these buildings, a separate sign permit is required.
Industrial, Commercial or Institutional Building Permit
A building permit is required for the construction of a new building, an addition to an existing building, or interior alteration of a non-residential (Industrial, Commercial or Institutional) building.
Food Premise Information
In addition to County of Brant building permit requirements, before a food premise can be constructed or renovated, Brant County Health Unit must be notified. The Brant County Health Unit requires a Notice of Intent and Assessment Checklist (PDF) be submitted during the planning and consultation stage for food premises.

Signs
The Ontario Building Code requires that a building permit be issued for signs that are attached to a building or are a designated structure.
