Salute to Brant
The County of Brant Salute to Brant Business event honours local businesses who are leading the way in their industries. It is also an evening to network, enjoy local food and drink, and hear from a key note speaker.
The 2024 Salute to Brant event will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the TF Warren Group Cainsville Community Centre. Catering will be provided by Devlin's Country Bistro.

The Accessible Brant Award recognizes a business, organization, event, or program within the County of Brant business community that provides a positive contribution to preventing and removing physical barriers, providing exemplary customer service or creating meaningful opportunities through the respectful integration of people with disabilities into the workforce.

| Brant Farms For All Agriculture Award |
|
The Brant Farms For All Agriculture Award will recognize an agriculture business in the County of Brant or a business that directly supports the agriculture sector. Nominations should include examples of how the business has positively contributed to the agriculture sector of the County of Brant. As well, how the business addresses challenges related to Agriculture in Canada.

| Brant Works High Growth and Innovation Award |
|
The Brant Works High Growth and Innovation Award is presented to a business that has experienced significant growth over the last 24 months or have implemented innovative practices into their day-to-day operations. This award will be judged on a business-by-business basis, regardless of number of employees or physical business footprint. Quantitative examples should be provided to assist judges in making decisions.

This award is presented to a business or organization that is in the tourism industry, or directly supports visitation to the County of Brant. They must demonstrate how they have promoted visitation to the County of Brant, while creating a positive impact on the environment and the community. Please provide specific examples of operational practices, growth, sector development, and what makes the business/organization unique.

The selected business awarded the Our Future Brant Sustainability Award is a business in the County of Brant that has implemented sustainable practices into their day to day practices. This includes, but is not limited to waste reductions, adoption of green energy sources, and total emission reductions.

2024 Salute to Brant Key Note Speaker: Ilona Dougherty
The County of Brant is thrilled to announce the 2024 Salute to Brant Keynote Speaker will be Ilona Dougherty. Ilona is a sought-after expert for businesses, organizations, and governments navigating demographic changes. Her research-backed presentations help leaders build strong teams and attract young talent. As co-creator of the Youth and Innovation Project at the University of Waterloo, her work is widely recognized. Dougherty advises companies like the Royal Bank of Canada and the Government of Canada. She co-founded Apathy is Boring at 23, aiming to engage youth in democracy. Recognized for her contributions, she's received awards like the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. Fully bilingual, Dougherty delivers impactful presentations in both English and French.

Salute to Brant Business brings together leaders within the local business community, elected officials, community influencers, and various industry experts to celebrate the progress and achievements of business in the County of Brant, and share industry insights.
