How It Works
Residents living within the Downtown Paris BIA (Business Improvement Area) who have a demonstrated a need for a permit such as not having a driveway or access to parking may be eligible for a permit.
- Each household can apply for one permit (linked to a maximum of two registered vehicles).
- Permit holders will have an assigned space available 24/7 (weekdays and weekends).
- Permits must be clearly displayed.
- No visitor passes and permits are not transferable.
- Large/oversized vehicles are not permitted.
- Snow removal and maintenance requirements will apply.
Application Process
- Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Applications will be reviewed by staff to confirm eligibility.
- Applicants will be notified when their application has been approved.
- Once an application is approved, payment can be made in person at the Paris Customer Service Office (66 Grand River St. N) or Burford Administration Office (26 Park Ave, Burford) or via secure link which will be provided upon request.
- A permit costs $120.00 per month (+HST). Permits are also available on a quarterly basis.
- Applications received after the 5th business day from the beginning of the month will be pro-rated.
- The permit process is designed to run from the 1st of every month to the last day of the month.
- If spaces are not paid for at least 30 days before the start of the month/quarter, they will be made available to others. For example, payments to cover the month of July parking period must be received by June 1.
