Property standards help ensure that all buildings and yards in the County of Brant are safe, well-maintained, and contribute to the overall health and appearance of our community

Property Complaints
If you notice a property that does not appear to meet these standards, you can submit a complaint to the County.
- Long grass
- Debris, garbage, abandoned refrigerators and freezers in a yard
- Improper storage and disposal of refuse
- Sewage discharge and roof drainage
- Trees, vegetation and the branches, limbs and parts thereof which create an unsafe condition due to decay, disease or being damaged
- Structures, fences and retaining walls not in good repair
- More than two unlicensed and inoperative vehicles in a yard
- Unkept pools and ponds
- Improper maintenance of buildings and structures - structural capability, fire damage and prevention, foundations, exterior walls, doors and windows, interior structures and surfaces, plumbing systems, heating and mechanical systems, electrical systems, recreational facilities and vacant buildings
