Basement Flood Prevention
The Basement Flood Prevention Assistance Program offers reimbursement for the cost of outfitting your home to prevent storm water from flooding your basement. You may be eligible for up to $1,000 per property.
Eligibility
You may be eligible for this program if you
- Are the owner of a residential dwelling within the County of Brant
- The driveway of your property is below the grade of the street
- A catch basin and gravity connection to the County storm sewer is located at the base of your driveway to carry water to the storm sewer
The funds must be used for
- Installing a back flow prevention valve on the private storm water connection
- Altering driveway entrances to reduce overland flow to the base of the driveway

If you meet the program eligibility requirements above and print and complete the Basement Flood Prevention Assistance Program application package (PDF) (paper copies available at any County of Brant customer service office).
