County of Brant community map

The County of Brant is a single tier municipality in Southern Ontario covering approximately 843 square kilometers with a population projection for 2024 of 42,800.

There are over 250 acres of maintained parkland and a trail system that stretches over 70 kilometers. The County of Brant offers venues for indoor and outdoor recreation, community group programs and special events to serve all its neighbourhoods.

Explore everything our communities have to offer!

  • Burford has the distinction of being built on what was one of Ontario's largest prairie lands. This historic community is lined with turn-of-the-century homes boasting unique architectural features.
  • Burtch, Onondaga and Middleport border the Grand River and Six Nations of the Grand River territory. Adventure and history collide in this part of the County creating a menu of memories every time!
  • Cainsville is rapidly being recognized as a destination for industry, business and development.
  • Cathcart, Muir and New Durham are small farming communities in Brant with multi-generational farms and rich history. These three communities border Oxford County
  • Fairfield Plain is nestled in the heart of farmland between Burford and Scotland. Fairfield Plain is home to the Fairfield Plains United Church, built in 1868 by William Mellish, a Brantford architect and still open today for events. 
  • Falkland is a beautiful hamlet located outside of Paris and Burford, lined with historic homes and views. 
  • Glen Morris and Harrisburg perfect the art of small town living and are picture perfect. Glen Morris has natural attractions, historical architecture and the sound of the Grand River!
  • Harley and Kelvin are quaint communities in the middle of farm country. Discover a local farmer's stand and pick up local fresh produce to enjoy at home!
  • Mount Pleasant is the perfect place to stock-up on fresh produce or enjoy a unique dining experience. Profound historical destinations and beautiful nature surround this community.
  • Oakhill offers the sight of small planes, a tucked away neighbourhood park, easy access to nature trails and unique market shopping.
  • Paris is often referred as ‘Canada's Prettiest Little Town' and is also regarded as the ‘Cobblestone Capital of Canada'. Paris is located where the Grand and Nith Rivers meet.
  • St. George is proud to be tagged as ‘Canada's Friendliest Town'. Reminiscent of a small British village, St George's downtown core offers restaurants and quaint coffee shops.
  • Scotland and Oakland are tucked away from big city hustle and bustle. Malcolms Mills, which lies within the village of Oakland, is the site of the last battle between the American and British troops on Canadian soil in the War of 1812.
