Affordable Housing
Brantford-Brant Homeownership Program
In partnership with the Government of Canada, the Province of Ontario, the City of Brantford and the County of Brant, the Brantford-Brant Homeownership Program has been developed to assist low to moderate income earners realize the dream of owning their first home.
City of Brantford
Affordable rental housing units are available across the City of Brantford and the County of Brant. These include apartments, townhouses, semi-detached and single-family homes. The City of Brantford delivers housing services on behalf of the County of Brant.

Community Legal Clinic
We provide information, advice and representation to low income tenants in Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk. If you are having a problem with your rental unit or your landlord, we can explain your rights and obligations under the law. We can advise you how to take steps to resolve the issue. In some cases, we will represent you at the Landlord & Tenant Board.

Russell Heights
The County of Brant owns and operates Russell Heights located at 50 High Street in St. George, in partnership with the City of Brantford Housing Department. We offer rent geared-to-income and market rent housing which provides affordable housing to tenants in the County of Brant.

Emergency Shelters
Emergency Shelter services are available in the City of Brantford for:
- women and children fleeing abuse
- youth ages 15-19 years
- adult men and adult women

SOAR Community Services Housing Resource Centre
SOAR is a free community service that helps housed and homeless individuals in Brantford-Brant to ensure that those at risk of homelessness maintain their housing and those experiencing homelessness have access to emergency shelter and support to find permanent housing.
