Winter Walk Day
Wednesday, February 4 is Winter Walk Day across the Country and we're encouraging students and families to walk, roll, and stay active—even in the colder months! Choosing active travel helps build healthy habits, supports mental well-being, and keeps our school communities connected.
Winter Walking Safety Tips:
- Dress in warm layers, hats, and mittens
- Wear footwear with good traction to prevent slips
- Choose bright or reflective clothing to stay visible
- Take shorter steps and watch for icy spots
- Walk together and use safe routes and crossings
