Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy
Under the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, you can submit an information request.
- Any member of the public may request to view or obtain copies of general records and information held by the County
- Individuals may request to view, copy or correct any personal information about them that may be held by the County
- The County must protect privacy as outlined in the Act
- The Act also describes circumstances where information may be withheld from release.
If you wish to access records held by the County of Brant, first contact the department that holds the records. The appropriate staff member will review your request and determine if the records are routinely available and can be provided as routine disclosure or if your request must be formally submitted as a Freedom of Information (FOI) request.
