Voters
All eligible voters will receive a Voter Information Number by mail. Included on this card will be your Voter Identification Number and PIN, along with your full name and address. This card will provide information for internet voting and in person voting.
Online Voting
Online voting is now closed.
Online Voting commenced at 10:00 am on Monday, October 10, 2022. The voting portal remained open until 6:00 pm on Sunday, October 23, 2022.
How to vote online |
In order to use the online voting process, each elector will need access to the internet and your voter information card containing your voter identification number and PIN, and your date of birth. Voting Process 1. The elector goes to the Remote Voting Website and uses their Voter ID (From Voter Letter) and PIN to vote. 2. The elector will also need to enter their date of birth. 3. The elector reviews the oath as per the Municipal Elections Act, 1996. If the elector chooses to ‘Accept’ the oath, they will be presented with the ballot. If declined, they will be brought back to the initial landing page. 4. The elector marks their selections, one office at a time. 5. The elector reviews the ballot summary and is presented with the option to make changes or cast the ballot. 6. Once the ballot is cast, the elector is notified on the page, and they will be marked as voted on the voters list. |

Appointing a Proxy for Voting |
If you would like to appoint a proxy for voting, you must complete the following form: Appointment for Voting Proxy - Form 3 1. You must be eligible to vote in the municipality. To complete the form: Note: You must fill in the information of the person you are appointing before signing the form in Box C. After completing two copies of the form, give them to the person who you are appointing as your proxy. To file an Appointment for Voting Proxy, book at appointment with our Clerks Division. Walk-in appointments will be accepted on Monday, October 17 from 12 pm to 5 pm at the Paris Customer Service Office. The last day to file is Friday, October 21, 2022. |

Are you a new County resident? Has your name or address changed since 2018? Are you unsure if you are listed as an elector in the County of Brant for the Municipal Election? Even if you had updated your information with Elections Ontario for the Provincial Election that took place on June 2022, you must also update your information with the County. Voters' List revisions and additions can be made at the following locations, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm:
