Annual Report
The County of Brant is pleased to share the 2024 Brant-Brantford Paramedic Services Annual Report.
The 2024 Brant-Brantford Paramedic Services Annual Report provides information regarding the many services of the Brant-Brantford Paramedic Services and includes performance, response time plans, staff education/training, Operations and continuous improvements and Community Paramedicine Program.
Highlights include Governor General’s Emergency Medical Service Exemplary Service Medal presented to paramedics for over 30 & 40 years of exceptional service, donation of a fully equipped ambulance to the Institute of Sisters of Immaculate Heart of Mary Mother of Christ in Nkpor, Nigeria, and progress on the new BBPS headquarters facility.

Duties and Policy
It is the duty of each employee to:
- Serve the ill, injured, general public and fellow employees in a responsible and conscientious manner
- Ensure the safety of patients and provide the most appropriate care
- Respect the rights of patients and ensure patient confidentiality is maintained
- Maintain a constant state of readiness to respond to medical emergencies
- Conduct business operations in a professional manner avoiding any practice likely to be detrimental or disgraceful to the service or fellow employees
- Uphold standards set down by the service and the regulations pertaining to the Ambulance Act
Responding to emergencies
We follow a tiered response model with the local fire department to make sure we respond rapidly to life threatening emergencies. Our resources are dispatched through the Hamilton Central Ambulance Communication Centre. The Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care oversees operations.
Service Commitment Statement
The Brant-Brantford Paramedic Service has a commitment to conform to all applicable regulations and legislation, while remaining accessible to all residents and visitors to Ontario. The service will be seamless across municipal boundaries, accountable and responsive to the needs of the community.
All crews are on-site and crew reaction times of less than 2 minutes for all code 3, 4 and 8 calls will be assured. Every effort will be made to achieve the 2021 Response Time Performance Plan.
