Calling 911
Please only call 911 in a true emergency. Calling 911 in a non-emergency can delay lifesaving services to someone in dire need.
Call 911 immediately for any life-threatening medical problem.

Calling an Ambulance
Calling an ambulance won’t get you a shorter wait time in the Emergency Department. Cases are triaged by urgency, not how you arrive to the hospital.

Community Paramedicine
Community paramedicine is a relatively new and evolving healthcare model. It allows paramedics to operate in expanded roles by assisting with public health and primary healthcare and preventive services to underserved at risk, and/or identified populations in the community.
