About Camp Phoenix
Camp Phoenix is a free, immersive day camp for young women who are 14-18 years old and interested in learning more about a career in firefighting. Our mission is simple: to discover, educate and empower the next generation of future female fire professionals.
Camp Phoenix simulates real-life scenarios in all areas of fire prevention and suppression including:
- Search and rescue
- Forcible entry
- Auto extrication
- Basic first aid and more.
Campers gain empowering experiences with first responders from every discipline. Each year we bring in OPP, EMS, and guest speakers from across the fire service—dispatchers, alumni, Conestoga College, the OFM, and others.
