Fire Prevention Week

In a fire, seconds can mean the difference between a safe escape and a tragedy. Fire safety education isn’t just for school children. Teenagers, adults, and the elderly are also at risk in fires, making it important for every member of the community to take some time every October during Fire Prevention Week to make sure they understand how to stay safe in case of a fire.

Fire Prevention Week 2023

October 8 to 14 is Fire Prevention Week!

This year’s Fire Prevention Week theme is "Cooking safety starts with YOU". Cooking Safety works to educate everyone about simple but important actions they can take to keep themselves and those around them safe when cooking.

Burford Fall Fair - Saturday, October 7 to Monday, October 9

The Burford Station will be at the fair throughout the weekend to say hello and teach our residents about fire safety. Stop by, say hello and learn how you can prevent fires in your home! Visit the Burford Fair webpage for event details.

Paris Fire Station Open House - Saturday, October 14

Join us today at the Paris Fire Station Open House from 10am to 12:00 pm. Meet your local firefighters, check out the trucks and equipment and learn how you can practive fire prevention at home. The Paris Fire Station is located at 61 Dundas St. East, in Paris.
