Collection information
As a resident, you are responsible for disposing of solid waste in accordance with the County of Brant's Solid Waste By-law on your weekly collection day. To determine your collection day, view our online Waste and Recycling Collection Map
Please place your garbage and blue box curbside by 7:00 a.m. on your scheduled collection day.
- Each household may set out up to four (4) garbage containers per week.
- There is a weight limit of 20 kg (45 lbs) per garbage container.
- There is no limit to the amount of blue box (recyclable) material you can set out.
Need supplies? You can purchase:
- Blue Boxes for $10.00
- Blue Box Lids for $3.50
- Composters for $30.00
- Please note that all sales of blue boxes and composters are final; returns, exchanges, and refunds are not accepted.
Newly built homes are eligible for one complimentary blue box. To request one, contact Circular Materials at customercareont@emterra.ca or call 1-888-597-1541.
Holiday Collection
Curbside Collection will not occur on Christmas Day and New Years Day only. Curbside collection will occur on all other holidays.
During Christmas and New Year's Day, collection will happen on the following day and the remaining collection that week will subsequently move to the next day. (Example: Wednesdays collection will move to to Thursday, Thursday Collection will move to Friday, ect.)
2025 Holiday Schedule
- Thursday, December 25: No collection. Collection for the remaining of the week will move one day. Thursdays collection will be on Friday and Fridays collection will be on Saturday, December 27.
- Thursday, January 1: No collection. Collection for the remaining of the week will move one day. Thursdays collection will be on Friday and Fridays collection will be on Saturday, January 3.
