To minimize lineups and for the safety of staff and those attending, an appointment is required to attend the Household Hazardous Waste Event.

  • Latex paints and oil paints (paint cans that are empty and dry can go in your blue box)

  • Motor oil and oil filters
  • Engine coolant/antifreeze
  • Portable fire extinguishers
  • Car batteries
  • Transmission fluids
  • Waste fuel (kerosene, gasoline)

From your yard

  • Insecticides, weed killers, poisons
  • Pesticides
  • Propane cylinders and tanks
  • Swimming pool chemicals
  • Wood preservatives

From your house

  • Aerosol cans
  • Cleaners, spot removers
  • Hearing aid (button) batteries
  • Rechargeable and single use batteries
  • Fluorescent light bulbs (tubes, CFLs, and ballasts)
  • Thermostats and other mercury containing devices
  • Prescription medicines/syringes
  • Photo chemicals, chemistry sets

What not to bring

  • Ammunition, fireworks, explosives
  • Expanding Foam Cylinders
  • Infectious and biological waste
  • Household appliances or items containing refrigerant
  • Radioactive waste
  • Unknown compressed gas cylinders
  • Unidentified PCB containing items
  • Tires and eWaste
