Healthy Kids Brantford-Brant
About Healthy Kids Brantford-Brant
Healthy Kids Brantford-Brant is a community initiative focused on promoting healthy behaviours and physical activity for children 0 to 14 years of age.
Since 2015, the Passport to Health program has proven to be an effective way to successfully connect kids to discover new activities they may not have otherwise tried. The Healthy Kids program continues to demonstrate significant success in changing the culture of children’s health within the community through innovative projects, partnerships and awareness campaigns. Parents whose children have participated in the Healthy Kids program reported improvements in their child’s motivation to participate in physical activity, eat healthy foods, and drink more water.
Healthy Kids Passport
The annual Healthy Kids Passport to Health returns from Saturday, March 12 to Sunday, March 27!
Over 25 community partners in the County of Brant and Brantford are offering over 60 free activities for children ages 0 to 14, including pottery creation, kids’ yoga, outdoor story walks, cooking classes and coding. Kids can participate in as many activities as they want, but space may be limited, and pre-registration is required. View the full list of activities and registration details at the Healthy Kids Passport to Health calendar.
Don’t forget to enter the Healthy Kids Passport to Health Photo Contest! Participants can submit photos of themselves participating in activities from the Healthy Kids Passport for the chance to win prizes from local partners. The grand prize is a $400 City of Brantford Recreation Gift Certificate that can be used to participate in swim lessons, registered or drop-in programs, day camps and more. Participants can also win one of nine additional $100 gift cards from activity providers. Visit the Healthy Kids Passport to Health Photo Contest page to enter.
