Brant-Brantford Welcomes New Chief of Paramedic Services

Brant-Brantford Paramedic Services is pleased to announce the appointment of Lyndsey Longeway as the new Director/Chief of Brant-Brantford Paramedic Services, effective November 3, 2025.

“We are grateful to have Lyndsey join our team,” said Cindy Stevenson, General Manager of Emergency and Protective Services for the County of Brant. “Her vast experience across the paramedic and community health landscape will be a tremendous asset to our organization and the communities we serve.”

Lyndsey joins us from Medavie Elgin EMS in St. Thomas, where she served as General Manager/Paramedic Chief. She brings nearly 20 years of experience in the paramedic field, including a strong background in leadership, education, and community health.

Her career includes key roles such as Operations Manager and Mobile Integrated Health/Community Paramedicine lead in Chatham-Kent with Medavie, Education Coordinator with the Southwest Region Base Hospital Program, and several leadership positions at Ornge Transport Medicine, including Acting Director, Operations Control Manager, and Communications Officer. Lyndsey is also currently a member of the Ministry of Health’s Service Review Team.

“I am very excited to be joining the Brant-Brantford Paramedic Services,” said Lyndsey Longeway. “I look forward to working alongside such a dedicated and skilled team to build on the strong foundation already in place, advance excellence in patient care, and serve the community with integrity and compassion.”

Lyndsey’s appointment comes following the retirement of Chief Russ King. Russ served the Brant-Brantford community since December 2000, serving as the Chief of Brant-Brantford Paramedic Services for the past 8 years.

“We thank Russ for his dedication to serving the community and the many positive contributions he has brought forward throughout the years,” said Stevenson. “We wish him all the best is his retirement.”
