Canada Post Strike – Service Impacts
Due to the ongoing Canada Post strike, mail delivery may be delayed. Please see the following important information regarding County of Brant services:
Property Taxes
Property owners are still required to make tax payments by the scheduled due dates, regardless of any postal disruptions. The final installment was due September 29, 2025.Now is a great time to switch to electronic notification for your property taxes.

Accounts Receivable
Customers are required to pay amounts due to the County of Brant by the due date shown on their invoice.
To avoid delays, please consider:
- Paying at your bank or in-person at a County Customer Service location.
- For online payments, select “Brant County” and then choose “Brant County Accounts Receivable.”
Accounts Payable
Vendors are encouraged to send invoices by email to ap@brant.ca instead of mail.
Please note that cheque payments from the County may be delayed due to postal disruption. To ensure prompt payment:
- Sign up for EFT payment, or
- Make arrangements to pick up cheque payments at a County Customer Service location by contacting ap@brant.ca.
GrandBridge Energy (Hydro amd Water Billing)
GrandBridge Energy, the County’s billing provider, offers online billing as a convenient alternative to paper bills. Customers can receive bills and notices (hydro or water) through the GBE Online Portal.

Planning Application Notices and Upcoming Public Meetings
During the ongoing Canada Post strike, the County of Brant will continue to provide public notices for planning applications in accordance with the Planning Act.
Public notice signs will continue to be posted on the subject properties, and notices of public meetings will also be published in the Brantford Expositor, and information is available on our webpage.
