Christmas Movie Filmed in the County of Brant

Tis’ the Season for filming in Brant! The County of Brant was thrilled to be chosen as the filming location for a heartwarming Christmas movie set to be released later this year.
“Known for its’ charming small-town communities, natural beauty, and historic enchantment, the County is a desirable location for filming,” said Russell Press, Director of Economic Development and Tourism. “Since the launch of the Filming and Digital Media Strategy, filming in the County of Brant has been robust. In 2022, there were seven (7) productions throughout the County which generated positive economic benefits across the community.”
With a blanket of snow dusting the countryside, a cast and crew of sixty embarked on a day of filming at the Cainsville Fire Station. The production manager chose to film in Brant because the County is “very film friendly and easy to work with.” The Canadian produced movie came to the County of Brant on Tuesday, January 10, 2023.
The County of Brant is home to many traditional artisans and artists, making this movie one that will surely connect with our local makers. The storyline includes a Fireman who reaches out to a textile artist and quilting teacher to help him continue the family tradition of gifting a Christmas-themed quilt to his recently engaged sister.
