Cleaver Road Bridge Closure

The County of Brant has recently completed a structural evaluation of the Cleaver Road Bridge over Whitemans Creek, as part of the Ontario Structure Inspection Manual guide.
Based on this evaluation, the Cleaver Road Bridge needs to be closed to all traffic in the immediate future. The current condition of the bridge is not fit for vehicular traffic.
County of Brant staff will put the necessary barricades and signs in place to close the bridge July 17, 2023. The closure will be immediately north and south of the bridge.
Further work will need to be completed to determine the long-term plan for the structure and consultation will be undertaken with the public.
The location of the closure can be seen below on the map. The bridge is located on Cleaver Road between Highway 53 and Robinson Road.
