County of Brant Community Centres Closure and Service Update on January 25, 2026

Following the snowfall received, and with additional snowfall in the forecast, the following County of Brant services will be impacted today, Sunday, January 25, 2026:

County of Brant Community Centres:

The following County of Brant Community Centres will be closing at the times noted below:

• Brant Sports Complex, located at 944 Powerline Road, Paris – closing at 7:00 pm. The Paris Titans game scheduled for this evening has been cancelled.
• Burford Community Centre, located at 14 Potter Drive, Burford – closing at 3:00 pm
• Gaukel Memorial Community Centre, located at 7 Gaukel Drive, St. George – closing at 6:30 pm
• Syl Apps Community Centre, located at 51 William Street, Paris – closing at 5:00 pm

Rental groups have been notified, please reach out to your group directly with any questions regarding scheduled rentals for this evening.

County of Brant Public Libraries:

The County of Brant Public Library branches in Paris and St. George will be closing at 3:00 pm.

Brant Transit:

Brant Transit rides scheduled for today have been cancelled. Riders are notified directly using their preferred method of communication. If you have questions, please contact the call centre directly at 226.773.9347.

Emergency Shelter information:

Social Services for County of Brant residents are provided by the City of Brantford, those in need of emergency shelter are asked to visit the City of Brantford’s website at www.brantford.ca/EmergencyShelter.
