Emergency Preparedness Week 2024

Back to Search
Emergency Preparedness Week is May 5-11, 2024! This year the theme is A Plan for Every Season. Emergencies wait for no one and often arrive unannounced – whether it is the crack of dawn or in the dead of night, across the calm of summer or the chill of winter. The first steps to preparedness are awareness and planning.

This Emergency Preparedness Week, take the initiative to:
• Protect yourself and your family: Discover the essentials of creating a 72-hour emergency kit that caters to the unique needs of every family member, including your pets!
• Know what’s in your area: Understanding the specific hazards that pose a risk to the area where you live and work is key. Whether it's floods, storms, or power outages, awareness is your first line of defense.

Emergency preparedness begins at home. It's not just about having a kit; it's about having a plan. Whether you're at home, at work, or on the go, ensure you and your family are ready to act swiftly and safely in any situation. Don’t wait for the unexpected. Prepare for it.
